Privacy notice
Plain English, and shorter than most.
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no tracking of any kind. We do not even load fonts from another company's server, so nobody but our own host ever sees that you visited.
Who we are
Kingsrow Studio builds websites for tradespeople in the United Kingdom and Ireland. For data protection purposes we are the controller of the information described below.

If you contact us
When you email us we hold your name, your email address, anything else you choose to tell us, and our correspondence with you. We use it only to answer you and, if you go ahead, to build and look after your website. The lawful basis is that we need it to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and to perform that contract afterwards.
We keep enquiries that go nowhere for twelve months, then delete them. Records relating to actual work are kept for six years, because UK tax law requires it.
If we contacted you first
We sometimes email businesses who have not heard of us, to offer to build them a website. We think it is only fair to say plainly how that works.
- We only write to business addresses on a company's own domain. We do not cold-email personal addresses such as Gmail or Hotmail.
- The contact details come from public sources: OpenStreetMap, public business directories, and the company's own website.
- Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — offering a relevant service to a business that may want it. We have weighed that against your interests and keep the volume low and the message short.
- Every email says who we are, gives our postal address, and tells you how to stop them.
To be removed, reply with the word "no". That is all it takes. You will not be asked why, and you will not hear from us again. We keep your address on a suppression list purely so that we never contact you by mistake in future — and we use it for nothing else.
Who else sees your information
Nobody, other than the companies that host our site and carry our email. We do not sell data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not pass it to other agencies. Our suppliers are bound to process it only on our instructions.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or hand it over in a portable form. Where we rely on legitimate interests, as with the emails described above, you can object at any time and we will stop.

If you are unhappy
Please tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. If you are in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Changes
If we change how any of this works we will update this page and change the date below.
